as eyes seize it
a return ticket
on the bus of past times
the bell rings twice
unbroken
on the thin morning air
a boys choir
ubiquitous
the word is
everywhere
lay here beside me
as this field of poetry
blossoms
heatwave
on this rare damp morning
a broken promise
robin redbreast
a nodding acquaintance
on the garden spade
from the sea
people are rescued
bodies are pulled
air show
the little girl in her pram
yawning
when her grandson
starts talking astrophysics
nanna nods mmm mmm
wild fires
the escape velocity
of numbers
so subtle
the early turnings
almost imagined
trapping
the fly in the restaurant
toilet
horsefly splat!
here’s the sting
it’s my blood
his portrait
has something beyond something
there you are
a magpie sharing
the sparkle of my eye
within its eye
i often find myself in a book shop
lavender
floating on the breeze
of her passing
on top of that
some things are surreal
we realise
cool dusk
there they are! there they are!
baby bats
ghost riders arrive in a rusted train
