red legs

buttercup sun

lazy meadow

swallows and flies

light canoodling 

on the lamp post

wood pigeons

the cat is stalking

rook glares black and magpies cheer

death wish

face time 

grandchildren’s time grandpa’s time

bellcurve 

gulls 

thermals 

high summer

climate change 

the cat eats meatfree sausage

the cows belch Darwin 

on the skyline

we lift our sticks

the tideline waves

hot river meadow

yellow irises melting

gnats knitting 

beans and the bean pole

up they go they go up up

soon the harvest moon

the creaking d door

bated in a held breath
